Gogol Colors
Description
I remember in 2004 when my sister, Mallory, had transformed a regular photo of Janis Joplin into something vibrant, full of colors, highlights and shadows using Photoshop. It was a project for a class in her undergrad. I thought it was so cool, and from time to time would try and duplicate this with photos, but none looked the same. While shooting Gogol Bordello at Riot Fest Denver, I caught a frame with almost the EXACT same colors as Mal’s photo of Janis from 04, except without any help from Photoshop, editing or filters.
